Films
Today we have spent the entire session watching and rating short films. Some were amazing, but others were very poor. The best one was called Just a Normal Day and it shows how some people are frequently mistreated by the police, in particular black and ethnic minorities. There have also been films about teenage mothers, Barack Obama, pianos and underestimating the importance of health.

Here is my review of the film The Rabbit Hole:
Depict! Judging session
Film title: The Rabbit Hole
Originality: The idea of being stuck on the ceiling has been used before, but not in this context.
Imagination: I think the creator of this film has used his imagination a lot. Although the basic format is similar to other already existing programmes, this particular story with the man and the dog is extremely original. The man was quite short, scabby and was smoking a cigarette. The man tries to speak, but he cannot get the dog down from the ceiling. The man then ends up on the ceiling himself with the dog down below.
Ability to engage/Compelling idea: The film is accompanied by catchy music, which is a major advantage, because the music attracts people and keeps them motivated.
Additional comments: This is a very entertaining film and makes the audience think outside the box. I think it is a good candidate in the competition.
